I've been obsessed with olive oil since I was a child. My mom swears it's because she used to massage me with it as a baby (yes, really), but the massages have stopped, and my obsession is still going.
It all clicked when I was 9, on a family trip to Portugal. I tasted an olive oil that was completely different from what I knew at home, and in that moment, I realized-this stuff isn't just food, it's a craft.
Years later, that curiosity turned into passion, and passion turned into expertise. I became an olive oil sommelier, started teaching at Le Cordon Bleu, and got to work alongside some of the world's best chefs. I've even had the honor of judging international competitions.
