There is something special about this olive oil...

This olive oil from The Olive Oil Guy is a real standout — rich, smooth, and fragrant with a slight peppery bite at the finish. Harvested from single-origin Koroneiki olives in Greece, it feels like a truly artisanal product. The cold-pressed and early harvest process really shines through in the bold yet balanced flavour.I’ve used it for drizzling over salads, dipping with fresh bread, and finishing warm dishes, and it enhances everything it touches. The packaging is sleek and protective, with a well-sealed cap that ensures freshness. The high polyphenol content adds a nice touch for those looking to get more from their daily oils, both in taste and nutritional benefit. If you’re someone who appreciates quality oils, this is a brilliant upgrade from standard supermarket fare. It feels like a special treat without being pretentious and brings authentic Mediterranean flavour to everyday meals. Highly recommended for foodies or home chefs alike.

Lovely!

This is such lovely EVOO - very smooth and delicately-flavoured, and not at all bitter. Also, there's no burn in my throat, which I sometimes find with some olive oil. This actually reminds me of the stuff I used to buy when I lived in Morocco, and like those oils, this one is ideal for dipping fresh bread into, or for drizzling over simple salads. I've also been using it to dress tabouleh and other bulgur salads, where it works perfectly, especially when there are pomegranate arils involved - they work so well together!I wouldn't use this for cooking though; I'm sure it would work well but at almost £20 for half a litre, I feel it would be a complete waste of money.I quite like the almost retro feel to the branding, and that the oil comes in a tin, rather than a glass bottle. While bottles can look nice, I do feel that the oil keeps better in a tin.. and this one looks pretty cool, too. Plus, it has a decent pouring spout, too.Overall, I'm very pleased with this olive oil, and am happy to recommend it, especially as it doesn't cost any more than what I would expect to pay for a product of this quality. I would actually give it more than five stars if I could!

Worth your interest...

We seem to be in moment when you almost need to take out a bank loan to buy a bottle of olive oil and then too often you get something tasteless and bland - thankfully this Olive Oil Guy Single Origin First Edition is not one of those bland ones. This is one of the nicest tasting olive oils I've tried in ages, it's got a lovely fresh pepperiness that isn't overpowering and has a smooth medium-weight texture.Perfect for dressings or dishes where you want the olive oil flavours up front and personal. That said, it's still pricey and maybe too good for general cooking but a real treat in dishes where you'll get appreciate it. My only complaint was the inadequate packaging, it needs a box or bubble wrap covering, and mine arrived badly dented but leak-free - the metal recyclable canister doing its job well. We're still in bank-loan pricing territory but very nice nonetheless.

Lovely, nutty tasting oil

I ordered this olive oil mainly for using in homemade salad dressings, hummus etc.The oil arrives in a tin which has a screw top lid and a pull top seal, unfortunately the seal ring broke as I was pulling it, so I had to resort to pulling it out with pliers to access the oil.The tin is clearly labelled, giving details about the variety of olives used, and the best before before date, which is 17 months away. The oil itself is fairly dark coloured, and has a light but slightly nutty flavour, it's very pleasant tasting, and works well in salad dressings.Overall its an enjoyable product, apart from the slight hiccup with the packaging it tastes like a good quality, very pleasant oil, and I am happy to recommend it.

Olive Oil guy!

I’ve been using this olive oil for a few weeks now and it’s properly good stuff. Tastes fresh, with a bit of a peppery kick at the end that you get with proper extra virgin. I’ve mostly been using it for salads and drizzling over roast veg, but it’s lovely with just some bread and a bit of sea salt too. It’s got a nice colour and smells great when you open the bottle—not bland like some supermarket oils. You can tell it’s been made with care. Feels like the sort of thing you’d pick up on holiday and then wish you’d bought more of. Definitely a cut above your usual kitchen olive oil.
