My name is Mazen; I am an olive oil
sommelier, and Founder of The Olive Oil
Guy.
I’ve been obsessed with olive oil since I was a child. Even if I tried, I couldn’t explain to you why.
Growing up in Lebanon, olive oil was a big part of my culture. When I was 9 years old, I traveled to Spain & Portugal and tasted something completely different to what I was used to.
And that’s when my awakening happened.
You see, in that beautiful moment in Portugal, I discovered that olive oil is a craft.
Many years later, I trained as an olive oil sommelier, and began working with farms around the Mediterranean, on a journey to find the best olive oils.
My experience led me to uncover hidden gems; biodiverse lands abundant with olive trees that have been passed down from generation to generation.
Having found these unique groves, I began to curate olive oil for some of the best chefs in the world, enhancing their culinary creations one drop of liquid gold at a time.
Equipped with my expertise, I now bring you a collection of olive oils with varying origins and flavour profiles, so you can taste the difference too.
Trained as an olive oil sommelier, I travelled across the Mediterranean discovering biodiverse, generational old farms.
Through my travels, I’ve unearthed hidden gems, untouched by any chemicals, that produce the purest of olive oils. This led me to curate and handpick a selection of olive oils for some of the best chefs in the world.
Today, I present you with a selection of my unique treasures: a curated collection of olive oils from all across the Mediterranean.

In my journey finding the best olive oils, I uncovered hidden gems; biodiverse farms, abundant with olive trees that have been passed down from generation to generation.
These lands produce the purest of olive oils, untouched by any chemicals or pesticides.
The biodiverse practices in these farms encourages plants to bloom and wildlife to thrive, in turn, enriching the taste of the oil with flavors of the land.
Each variety in my carefully curated selection embodies the unique character of its origin. From the vibrant fruitiness of a Greek Koroneiki, to the peppery bite of an Italian Coratina, my collection offers a journey for the palate, inviting you to explore the nuances of flavour that arise from centuries of tradition and expertise.
I personally participate in each harvest, ensuring the utmost care and quality in every bottle. This allows me to bring forth olive oils that are as authentically rich in taste as they are in heritage

It is my utmost pleasure to teach the next generation of great culinary minds at Le Cordon Bleu’s Culinary Institute.
As a sommelier, I am delighted to be sharing my knowledge on the nuances in flavour and the intricacies of this delicate good.
I am incredibly grateful to have worked with some of the best chefs in the world. In collaboration with Joel Robuchon International, I curated a bespoke selection of olive oils for their up and coming Michelin restaurant.
This experience amongst others, have inspired me to introduce The Sommelier’s Selection.
The “First Edition” Olive Oil Guy product is featured at Harrods’. Seeing my first ever bottle on their esteemed shelves is a lifelong dream come true.
It is a source of pride, that has given me the confidence to grow, on my quest to find the world’s best olive oils.
